ANDREA BERNATH
Andrea’s painting is found under the sign of surrealism, reflecting a curious merge between realistic features and fantastic, grotesque, nightmarish forms, an assembly of hermetic symbols which urge to decoding.
The theme of A.’s works is often inspired by events of her own life, expressions of various experiences, feelings, many of which contradictory, torments, thoughts, converted into symbols with animal or vegetal connotations.
A distinct stage, representing new directions in A.’s activity, shows her detachment from the old themes and her orientation towards a more abstract and geometrical manner, with figurative discrete insertions.
